REVIEW: Up All Night

The first episode was so on the money! At least I felt the same way when our little nugget entered our lives...kinda....Of course we're more traditional and my hubby was the one who went back to work and our party days were already long gone. But either way I really liked the first episode. The second episode was a little slower and way more over the top. I think what young parents with babies like to see in a TV show based on their lives is more reality and less over-the-top-unbelievability.

I'll stick around for a third episode but I'm not too sure I'll be setting my DVR for this show just yet.

PERSONAL: New TV Show Up All Night

Am about to watch the new baby show Up All Night with Christina Applegate (whom I LOVE), will give a full review tomorrow. I think it's gonna pretty much hit the nail on the head though from what I've seen in previews. :)

PERSONAL: TV and Babies

I always get into tiffs with my mother about my infant daughter watching "Sesame Street." My mom seems to think it's educational, while I have repeatedly heard that ANY TV for an infant does no good whatsoever. It actually harms their language development and distracts them, making them less interactive with their caregivers (whether parents or day care workers, nannies etc...) and their environment, which is where the real learning comes from.

However, I have to admit, the last few months have found me losing my sanity more and more at home and turning on the morning TV news for about an hour or two. Hopefully it's not too damaging but I just can't imagine now not having at least some time to watch the news. I'm sure I'm not the only one out there...
